sorry guys i know you will all hate me for this but i just thought of a free way to do this using parts from the car.....
FREE Hood Spacers....
FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS AND HAVE SEEN CARS WITH IT.....
IT'S NOT JUST A FAD OR A "JDM" THING TO DO...
This give a better intake charge

hood spacers help keep the bay cooler by expelling the trapped hot air that sits under your hood while your at a stop light n such....
This keeps your intake piping cooler (dont know if thats what makes the difference in the charge) keeps your ac lines cooler helps with keeping your ac system so that the lines keep cooler on the outside and with your fuel lines and such keeps them cooler too....
THINGS YOU WILL NEED..
1. A friend to help you hold the hood ( or with everyday life)
2.A 10MM socket with a 1/4 ratchet
3. 4 bushings from the stock resonator box with the bolts
4. Tape measure or ruler.
5. A LOT OF PATIENCE....
Before we get started take your tape measure/ruler and measure the gap between your hood and the fender that way at the end you can reposition your hood to the stock distance....
P.S; I WILL NOT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY INJURIES, BROKEN PIECES/PARTS WHILE ATTEMPTING THIS DIY.... TUNE AT YOUR OWN RISK.....
ON WITH THE SHOW
1)Now the first step is removing your intake resonator box from behind your bumper and removing the 2 bushings from it. if you have a buddy with the same car then you can take his/hers too if the have a short ram/ CAI installed
3)Remove 2 bolts at a time that connect the hinge to the hood , have your friend hold the hood unless youd like a smashed windshield, hand, or skull....
4)PLace the bushings between the hinge and the hood like so with the bolt holding it in place like so.
5)Now tighten the bolts just slightly so that you can align the hood to the proper gap allignment
6) Close the hood and measure and adjust the hood to the distance from when you started then using your trusty sidekick, have them lift the hood slowly. make sure
they dont push pull or tug on the hood to misalign it or your just gonna have to do adjust it all over again then tighten the first bolts on the front on both sides, Lift the hood all the way up and lift the back screws..and there's your home made hood spacers.. enjoy kids.......
