ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    h22 tranny on f22?

Will an h22 tranny really make a big difference if i put it on my 2.2 sohc non vtec motor?

Oh yes. I rode in GraniteCB7's car, he has a F22A6 hooked to an M2B4 (H22 LSD trans) and it was damn fast! You will see a big difference.

I think you'll still be flying along, H22 non-LSD has the same gearing.

            Really...?

Because my trans is super noisy and all of the syncros are almost completely shot... I just changed the fluid and used 50% Lucas and syncromesh, but still no good. I want to either crack it open for a rebuild or just swap it out. But after hearing this I may just want to swap it out for the H22 trans then.....

Where might one find such a transmission good sir?

                  Question still remains...
Anyone know where we could find such a transmission in decent condition and how much it would cost?

Try any place that sells H22As.

Keep in mind that you will be ~4000 RPM when you are going 70 mph on the highway -- it's not a gas friendly change.

just find out what year and model car has that tranny can call your local junkyard... as for going 70mph @ 4000rpm... my lx now has a 4spd auto without the sport button and runs almost 4000rpm at about 70 as it is...

craigslist, junk yards, import motor dealers, and forum for sale ads

price is going to be from 150-800 depending on where and condition.

My M2B4 seriously woke my A6 right up, it's like a completely different car now w/ that tranny. The M2B4 has the longest 5th gear available, M2F4 has 1 of the shortest 5th gears. Regarding RPM @ 70, 4K is alittle much, I forget right now what it is for me. 4.266 final drive is not that short, try 4.4 or even 4.7 for the JDM ITR, yikes!

HA! Don't ever ride in an B vtec trans equipped car.

Try again. 80mph around 4k depending on tire size.

H22 trans on F22 is honestly about one of the best mods you can do to liven it up.
