ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I think its designed to stop the fan at a certain time when you turn off the car and it is too hot.

All my switches on my fans are bad so I just have them kicking all the time now. Its on my list of things to fix, the best advice I can give to locate the switches is get a wire schmatic from a manual and locate them.

Are both fans turning on when it reaches that high or just 1 fan. Your symptoms sound like the condenser fan is coming on. Because you recently engine swapped, did you verify the main fan is plugged into the harness?

One fan is automatic from the temp sensor on the top rad hose i think or the one by the thermostat

the Condenser fan comes on with the A/C Switch
H22A, Short Ram, AEM Uego, Chipped P28 with Crome, A/C Delete, Rear disc conversion. (Front Tein Basic Coilovers, H&R springs 1.7/1.5, and Fog lights waiting to be installed.)

Fan timer is activated by coolant temp "switch b". (the switch is activated @ ~228F). It turns on both fans. The gauge inside the car gets the info from the temp sender. Sounds like the "switch a" is bad.

The fan switch that kicks the radiator fan on is on the thermostat housing, located down and in front of the throttle body. The sensor has a brass body w/ green or purple plastic, also aims towards the front of the car. You can always jump the 2 wires together w/ a paper clip to jump the fan(s) if you have to.

Good, but since your swap, you might want to have your ECU checked to see what temperature it has programmed to it. What ECU are you running?
