ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Color of NGK wires?

This is a very simple question I am not sure about but do NGK wires only come in blue? or do they come in other colors as well

    Thanks for any feedback

The ones I pulled from the junkyard are blue. What color are you looking for?
    MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Lots of DIY videos specifically for our car

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

NGK wires normally come in blue or the common black, like MSD come in red. If you are looking for a different color than that, Google colored spark plug wires for different brands.

Me personally I prefer NGK wires, but MSD wires are pretty good also.

yea I was looking for a red wire set because my valve cover is red and so is the intake filter, the only thing blue is the optima battery lol

You can always cleanly wrap them in red electrical tape. Pull each wire tight in between 2 objects and wind the tape on in a consistent and even pattern. I don't mind the look of it but that's just me.

Isn't the blue optima battery a marine battery?

Yea it is lol but at the time I needed a battery and got the Optima Blue Top for 50$ almost new So I got it and it has yet to fail on me

But I think I may just go with the NGK blue anyways just because MSD wires are about 100$

I know accel's come in many colors yellow is the trade mark, but i know they come in black, red, and with braided shields.

Honestly they are tons of different colored wires out there (Taylor, Accel, MSD, Summit, etc etc) just need to check for your application. I've always had good luck with Accel's and if i recall back a few years ago a magazine did a test on most aftermarket wires and accel was their best bang for your buck. Cheapo's at any parts store should be just fine you can by colored sleeves atleast you used to at summit.

NGK and Sumitomo wires are the best performers (Sumitomo being the best... but they're black only... they're OEM.)

Taylor has red so does accel for our cars and all under $50-70 and summit has MSD's for around IIRC $90.
