ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I have a Broken bolt in a bad spot

So the bolt going into my condenser that holds the A/C line on broke off. Its a 12mm bolt. I was going to change that line and it was not coming out so I turned it as hard as I could and it broke. I drilled a little bit of it out and tryed a easy out. I broke it off to. Idk what to do now. Can you drill threw a easy out?
I need it out because I dont want to change the condenser.

if you brake a drill bit - forget about drilling it out -- the same for the stuff you broke - if it is the same material as drill bit.. you can try to weld a nut over the broken bolt, maybe it will help.

x2 what i would do is take a bigger bolt cut the head off with a hack saw or dremel and weld it to the borken bolt... you could also try the nut but i think it may just break off again as it has a hole threw it... lol

^Did you make that BB6 cluster harness?

That's not the best spot, certainly could be worse. I had a fix a t/b once, both tps screws snapped off. Screw extractor snapped off inside 1 of the tiny M5 screws, couldn't drill through it but I actually "ground" through it using my dremel and a very small grinding stone. Then was able to tap the hole again w/ the proper tap only alittle deeper b/c the first threads were alittle sloppy. Maybe you could do the same.

This would get some laughs but maybe a small c clamp w/ loctite on the threads and maybe grind the metal away so the feet of the clamp are recessed/keyed to prevent it slipping off.

thatīs the point of using the nut. put it over the broken bolt, and fill the middle of the nut, welding it to the bolt. welding heats up the bolt, and it comes out easy.
