ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Ouestion about Muffler

    Hello,

When I got my 1991 Honda Accord back from my local shop they had told me that my muffler was fine.

I noticed today that one of the exhaust pipes is very rusted.

Could I just get that part replaced?

    Thank you

You should be able to. Any competent exhaust shop should be able to cut out the bad portion of the pipe and weld in a new piece. It may eventually start rusting again around the welds, but it'll last for a while.
For price comparison, a full replacement exhaust system for your car can be purchased on ebay for about $150 shipped.

Also, I notice that you just reached 30 posts. I know that you don't post all that frequently, so I figured I'd mention it here. You will no longer be able to make new posts in the Beginner Forums, since you're now considered to be a full member of the site (congrats!) You'll be able to make new posts anywhere else on the site, however. Since most of your posts involve maintaining or repairing your car, you'll want to post primarily in the Technical section, located here.

I bought one of the stock replacements off ebay as deev mentioned. It fit great and my exhaust is quiet. They cut the "S" section though for shipping purposes. You will have to either weld it together or use the clamps and coupler that they throw in.

Yea they did I guess its so that they could avoid an oversized package charge. Anyway it was easy enough to weld it back together, just a little extra work. I didnt really want to use the clamps that they provided but they probably work just as well.
