ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Base Timing For Boost

Hi guys, first off I just want to say hello, as I am new here on the forums. Although I am new here, I have had my 92 CB9 for 8 years now and it has been a pretty long journey, which leads me to my question. Right now I have an F20B in it, it is turbo'd and ran by an S300. My question is, do I have to take timing away from the base timing and sync it to the S300 or do I set it to what the factory spec is, which I think is like 18 degrees and then sync it to the S300 and just take the -0.75 to -1.25 per lb of boost off the map? Thanks in advance for any replies and I will try to post up some stuff on it in the beginners picture section once I figure out how to add pictures.

it should not matter as long as you double check the timing with a timing light before you sync it
No marathon gets easier later. ...

Basically I went to the set timing feature in the sManager, put 13 in the box, and then set the distributor to 13 with the timing light and then confirmed it back in the sManager. I have actually been driving it for awhile now and it seems to run great. In all of the datalogs I have never seen it knock. AFR's and EGT's look great also. I guess I just wanted some reassurance, lol. Thank you very much for your reply.
