ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Brand new release bearing from exedy clutch kit. Lubed where it needs to be.

I did double check the fork and little spring inside is sitting correctly. And it is the exact same fork shape as was on the stock F trans.

Think you found your problem. This explains the binding too. My H22A (and the 3 trans / flywheels I have for it) don't use a pilot bearing. I have my engine trans out right now ....H22A w/ T2T4 w/ Aasco aftermarket flywheel.

Well damn haha I think you're right. I probably just need to run with no pilot bearing at all. Grumpys93 told me he did this too but all the accord clutch videos I've seen they use it. Even this aftermarket lightweight flywheel I bought for H/F series came with it . So I thought for sure I did need it.

I will bring the trans back down. Take out the flywheel, knock the pilot bearing out, put it back together and see if that fixes it.

        Thanks man

Ya, it's like the confusion comes from aftermarket people shipping them with the flywheels for decades but many are confused on this topic. All forums I found and manuals say the same. No pilot bearing. You may see a copper ring on the flywheel but that's about it. Grease the lining, stuff it on and all your problems will disappear.

Wow ridiculous how they sell it and give it to you even tho you have to take the damn pilot bushing out for it to work properly. Mine did come with a copper/ brass pilot bearing, already pressed in, but it fit real tight on the clutch alignment tool so I knew right away something was wrong there.

I'm just hoping now after modifying the flywheel, it will still have enough clearance, after I knock out the pilot bushing. Cuz they did have to add material to the center hole to get the exedy pilot bushing to fit tight.

Right..... so not sure what shop would ever do this. What did they add material to, the engine block hole?

So, like this XTD kit and others the clutch/flywheel are made for a F22/H22/H23/F23. The pilot bearing would be for the F22 I believe...¿ ( i can't remember)

No the f22 does not use a pilot bearing. Pilot bearings are used on d and b series. Granted I have not used an aftermarket flywheel. But if f and h series are interchangeable then if you didn’t use it for the h, you wouldn’t use it for the f series.

My experience I have ran an h22 mated fo an f22 flywheel, clutch , trans and didn’t use a pilot bearing. I’ve used an f22 mated to a T2W4( current set up) and again no Pilot bearing. I am running an OEM flywheel and a Competition clutch. Our motors do not require a pilot bearing.

Update... Okay, what in the fuck would make the car not go in gear when I put it on the ground...

I just put the trans and everything back for the 3rd time. This time trying NO pilot bushing. I tested the clutch disengagement/ engagement several times while it was up on jackstands. Tested right after I put axles in, everything was loose. Clutch and gears all working good. Torqued everything to spec. Everything still working good. Put the wheels on tested one last time before I drop her down. Everything still working good.

Then I dropped her down on the ground, and now I cannot get in gear!...

Oh yeah and if I try to put it in gear 1st then start it. The engine will not even start. Acts like there's a huge load on the engine. Take it out of gear, starts up fine.

So it's fully engaged and gears don't matter = your clutch release is not working? (is the fork / slave cylinder moving when you push the pedal? . )
Or the trans is binded up ; does it go into all gears with the car off?

Yeaa I dont understand why its not releasing! The fork/slave are moving. Looks like its moving enough too me but Edgar said its only moving 1 inch and his moves 2 inches. I even just tried my old, good working slave, that didn't do it..

Yes goes into all gears great with the car off.

The only other thing I can think off that seems weird to me is that when I put the pressure plate on, it kinda feels a little spring loaded when I'm putting it on, and makes me feel like I'm putting it on really tight even tho I'm still torqueing the bolts to spec. I've read this issue is common with pressure plates being too tight..

"S2K style Master Cylinder w/ a steel braided line, down to a New exedy slave cylinder..."

Oh woh woh. Are you using the spacer with the master cylinder? This reminds me of the time I used a ABS brake booster and the rod was 1" too short or long.... I was so confused. Have you tried a OEM master cylinder?

Yessir, I am using the spacer for the cmc that was provided with the Blox kit.

I have not tried swapping in the oem one what but I think I should maybe try it.

                            Thanks for your help

He is using the same exact s2k master I used and SS braided line. I had no issues but I understand not every piece is created equal. My mind keeps telling me either the fork is bent, it’s the wrong clutch or that flywheel has something to do with it.
