ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

best cooling upgrades for f22a1 accord?

i want to know what is the best way to upgrade the cooling system for a 1991 accord, i ordered the G-plus silicone hoses from ebay and the thermostat and housing from rockauto, i am looking forward in getting a radiator.
What brand or model should i be looking for a manual transmission car?

OEM everything will do. No need to upgrade the coolant system to be honest. If anything people use half rads (downgrade?) and still have no issues. If you want aftermarket maybe Mishimoto radiators, they work well too. Best of luck!

thanks for the advice, the reason i wanted an upgrade is because i live in AZ and the climate does get very very hot. i was looking to get a Denso radiator from rockauto since its cheap enough for my budget but the only problem is that the image shows an automatic transmission radiator and i have a manual, couldnt i just cover the transmission lines and call it a day?

Yes. The auto has extra fittings for the trans cooling. You'll have to find one for a manual. I don't see any on RockAuto so most I can say here is keep looking.

Most of the radiators have the trans cooler (for automatics); they can be used for a manual transmission car, you just don't connect anything to the trans cooler ports.

I suppose so with a couple hoses. Route it through the bottom of the radiator, then maybe back up to the cooler in front of the radiator for extra cooling. If you want extra PS cooling, I also suppose one could add a second one in front of the radiator and run them in series. (I have a couple extras).

I wonder what would cool better though for power steering. The OEM tiny rad / fin thing, or running it through the bottom of the radiator? (wind vs. liquid). Anyone know?

I endurance race a 1993 accord and used to race a 1991. Stock cooling all the way. We've done races in 106 degree weather, 7 hours a day every shift at redline. Never had the slightest indication of excessive heat. The only cooling related issue we ever had was a failed fan switch which caused us to get hot while idling at a standstill. The accord's cooling system is plenty robust. You'll get more bang for your buck on just about anything else.
