ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    h22a cb7 axle question

    hi guys new here.

    doing a h22a swap into my cb7.
i have read up on this swap alot on the forums and i am a bit confused when it comes to the drive shaft setup.

most if not all posts regarding this topic always say "use the accord axles"

but they never indicate if they are accord AUTO or accord MANUAL swaps.

    here is my situation

    I have a 93 accord se AUTO

i will be doing an h22a with a manual CONVERSION using a prelude tranny.

    so my ulimate question is

can i use the AUTO outer left and right axle and intermediate shaft?

or will i have to get a MANUAL intermediate shaft and outer left and right shaft from an accord?

or is there a mix matched combo that is recommended?

thank you for any advice and assistance guys,.

I believe you will need manual parts.
Look up part numbers and compare. If the part numbers are the same between auto and manual, you can use an auto part.

Also, if you’re doing an auto to manual swap, you’re going to need to either a) cut out your transmission mount bracket and weld in a manual bracket, or b) buy a auto to manual conversion mount (if they’re still available… innovative used to make one, hasport may have as well.)

You will need manual CB Accord left and right axles, as well as a CB or CD Accord intermediate shaft.

The automatic Accords don't have an intermediate shaft instead they use unequal length axles, one short axle on the passenger side and a long axle from the trans to the driver side hub.

i purchased the esp manual conversion t bracket and also engine mounts. so that should eliminate the conversion headaches hopefully.

thank you very much for the clarification. last night i ended up taking it all apart and realized the auto did not have an intermediate shaft and things started to make sense really quickly lol.
