You can't just swap the consoles. The autobelt gets in the way, and is why the 90-91 has a skinny e-brake console.
Also, to utilize the 92-93 console (non-armrest) you need to relocate the e-brake to be offset (assuming you've gotten rid of autobelt).
The armrest console doesn't need to have the e-brake relocated, but again the autobelt gets in the way.

You need to do this before you can even think about relocating the e-brake.

Or to make your job easier...convert to manual seatbelts(someone needs to do a DIY on this) and then install a '91 wagon center console. The e-brake is centered and it is big like the 92-93 also.My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

Actually, it is possible to do this, I've had it done for years now. It's fairly easy to do, maybe a 2 hour job. Moving the ebrake is easy, drill one new hole in the rear, and elongate the front one and use a large washer, now thats done.
As far as the auto belts go, take out the assembly and drill out the rivets that hold the big belt box to the lap belt latch. Now, get some 1/4-3/8" plate steel and make a bracket to mount the seat belt box higher. The easiest way to do this is to use the other large stud sticking out of the seat as a refernce point (It's the seat pivot rod).
Your going to attach the lower mounting hole and this upper one with the custom made bracket for strength.
Bolt the lap belt latch back where it was, and the big box to the upper stud, with the bracket mounted underneath both of them. Now your done. L8rTurbo H23a3 build has begun01-01-2019

Can you write a DIY on the e-brake mount modifications? I want to know exactly how it's done before I consider it a possible choice as it would make console shopping much easier. The hole in the new black carpet for my e-brake was cut too big and I need a bigger console to cover it.My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint.
