Painting interior???

Iv been cleaning my interior and when I was cleaning my rear panels in my coupe I took the vinyl off so that I could paint them black. Although I took one off and some of the fabric got ripped out and stayed stuck to the panel.

I was thinking of just sanding the glue down or something and painting the part were the vinyl was, has anyone done this? How might it look, as well as the front door panels?Thanks

i did it with vinyl and carpet paint on my mustang....just put a little degreaser on everything to get wax coat off really dont need to sand ...look at my Other ride thread in my sig the dash and door panals and carpet were grey when i got them so i wanted to put black in my car to match convertible top

edit: put a clear coat on thought or everytime a ring or anything hard rubs against the paint will scratch up (i just kept putting more paint on when i happen till i put clear on it
