    HOA Badge Positioning

So most folks know there's a thread out there with the exact positioning for the JDM sidemarkers right? Well being as OCD as I am I wanted to see if anyone knew the correct "OEM" placement measurements for the HOA badges on the c pillars. Basically I'm looking for body line to bottom of the badge, then stainless trim from the door side to one side of the badge and then trim of the window to the other side. I don't particularly need those exact measurements, but I don't want to go just sticking them on wherever they look good.

Also, if anyone has any tips concerning getting the 20 some odd year old tape off the back of these things I'd be grateful.

I was wondering the same thing the other day and searching the web didnt turn anything up. Saw a civic using them to replace the stock front/rear h badges though, that's a cool idea.

As for removing the tape, a razor and 3m adhesive remover spray is the best i can think of.

The correct positioning is difficult to achieve and far too often people are installing them higher up on the C pillar than they are suppose to be.

And for some reason or another, they are positioned higher up on the CB9s than the rest...

These are the measurements I've came up with from a few different sources.

Let me know if that makes any sense.
Also if I can find someone who has an original, I'll get them to take pictures with exact measurements.

This pic on Wikipedia, maybe it could be of some help?
(Although I'm pretty sure that everyone and their mom has already seen it..)

E: Oh, just noticed what Jon said about the CB9 one being higher up than the rest. Sorry if this isn't what you were looking for

            Another pic for reference.

See, the badge on the coupe isn't as high up as a lot of people tend to install it. This is probably due to the fact that most people don't have anything other than the CB9 as a reference.

              Thanks for all the replies!

I ended up using a razor blade and some denatured alcohol to get the old tape off. Worked quite well.

Jon, thanks for the measurements! I think they're placed further up on the CB9 pillars due to the different bodyline. More than likely I will be going with those measurements you posted. Looking at the picture, in relation to the stainless trim around the window they seem to be placed rather close but the body lines make it look different.

Dam.. those badges are so nice. But I would be too scared to put them on. Thieves around my city steal badges left and right

If those pics are factory, the positioning's the same then, rreally. The sedans/wagons just have a truer Hoffmeister Kink, so their badges are higher to keep alignment with the point.

Yes those pictures are factory from a "US Coupe & Wagon" brochure.

And you guys are correct. The bodyline on the CB9 is slightly different thus it appears to be up higher on the pillar.

One way or another we should be able to get then damn near close to factory.
