    Fog light bracket screws

Sometime this week(hopefully) I want to install my fog lights. What Kind of screws should I use for the brackets?

I'm adding onto a room in my basement, using metal studs. I have a ton of screws left over. The description reads:
    SELF DRILL PAN HD SCREW
    7x7/16" 1.111cm

In small text on the top of the box:
Phillips pan head, fine thread, self drill point
Ideal for attaching steel track to steel studs
Should not be used in treated lumber
Should not be used where surface rust is unacceptable (FUCK!)
Didn't see that last one. Can I screw them in and paint over, or should I get different ones?

^that's a great idea since they're stainless. Although I have yet to pull a set of OEM fogs and find SS, they always resemble the black interior screws and are always really rusty from our winters up here. It would take a long time for those #7's to rot out though. The box just states that for the issue of staining as a disclaimer.

Planning on doing this tomorrow, 4 questions:
        1. Is the size correct? I'll look for Stainless, if I can't find them then I'll use the aluminum studs ones. I don't want too long and end up going through my bumper.
        2. Do I need the weather stripping for the foglights? And if so, can I use a generic kind from autozone?
        3. For where the wiring harness runs through the dash, same thing? Rubber bushing from autozone?
        4. I've got metal blades for my jigsaw. About 15 tpi. Sound right?

It dosent matter what you use honestly, the screws are self tapping. So long as you don't troll out the front of your bumper youl'll be fine

Also surface rust dosent matter, you aren't looking at the screws. So the ones you have will be fine

It means like on a deck where you wouldn't want to see a rusty screw holding a plank down

I've always saved and reused the OEM screws, doesn't matter about rust as long as the top is still there, you are screwing into plastic

What about length? Are these gonna show from the front?

Just use your best judgment, when the bumper is off you can see a plstic tube with a hole in the middle to where it mounts, just line the screw up next to it. if its longer then the hole then chances are its too long for the bumper. If i recall the screws were only maybe at max an inch

I didn't know there were little places for the screws to go, I thought it just went straight into the bumper!
                    What about weather stripping/bushings?
