I actually bought some lights from a guy off ebay for my HID fogs. His pen name is Halogen2HID. He actually rebases bulbs so that you can use them with OEM ballasts.

i got a good deal with it. i knew this guy that had an uncle work for bmw. so he got it from a wrecked e46 aka 3 series. so he sold them to me thinking it would look wack if he retrofitted it.

so i got: ballasts, d2s bulbs, projectors, and the small white relay box for $130.00.

then i got my hi wattage wiring from ebay for $30.00.

then found jdm 2piece lights for $70.00.

and the retrofit cost me $30.00 with the parts from homedepot and the bezels from hidplanet.

            so in total its $260.00

Just installed these today. I bought a kit from a friend of mine (runs jdmwest.ca), for $300 CAD. It's a "GT HID xenon conversion kit".. 6000k, HB4.

i would like to see cutoff from a wall. that shows much better output. it could be bright but does it project correctly.

i know there are more people with hids so post them up!

please remember that it really depends on the camera (and photographer) and its ability to capture the light. true light output will definitely differ when you see it in actuality.

here is my setup: Lexus GS400 ballasts, Philips D2R bulbs, Autolamp shields, all in JDM 2-piece headlights (H4 housings).

compare the hue with the foglight (which is using stock bulbs)
