Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Anyone stroked an f22a?

    I know there's stroked H22's (2point6), but has anyone done a big dirty sohc?

    You stroke it the same way as the h22. You can either call crower and order there h22 stroker kit or do it the cheaper way and just find a h23 crank with your choice of pistons and rods. Just remember to order h23 pistons and rods.

      I'm confused. The tech thread says the storke is the same between the h23a1 and f22a; the h23 just has a bigger bore. Cause i have an h23a1 kickin around so that would be really convenient.

        that's what I thought. And even if you did use the h23 crank, rods wouldn't matter, h23/f22 are the same, and why would you use h23 pistons? they wouldn't fit in there comfortably, you would use f22 pistons...

          i don't even think the pistons would fit at all, f22a bore is 85mm, h23 is 87mm.

          EDIT: i looked at the crower stroker kits, or should i say the crower "bore the hell out of the motor" stroker kits.

            h23 has more stroke as well. If you try to put a h23 crank into the h22 you have to remove the oil squirters at the bottom of the motor due to the stroke being bigger.

              STROKE
              H22A = 90.7mm/3.570
              H22A1 = 90.7mm/3.570
              H22A4 = 90.7mm/3.570
              H23A = 95mm/3.740
              H23A1 = 95mm/3.740
              F20A = 88mm/3.464
              F20B = 88mm/3.464
              F22A = 95mm/3.740
              F22B = 95mm/3.740
              F22B1 = 95mm/3.740
              F22B2 = 95mm/3.740
              F23A = 97mm/3.818

              Taken from the sticky at the top of this forum.

              But he's not trying to stroke a h22, he's trying to stroke a f22.

                  The F22a and H23 crank are identical part #s from honda... I believe the F23 crank will not work due to a different journal size. Our motors have a huge stroke already... if you sleeve it you can bore to 92mm i believe, on a n/a setup and i think 89 or 90mm on a boosted setup(according to darton)

                    hmmm, that's what someone else brought to my attention earlier tonight. weird thing is i know for a fact that a local engine builder stuffed an f23 crank into an h22 or h23 block. guess i'm off to see the wizard.
