Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Funny Neptune rtp story...

so i have the car running waiting to get tuned and been playing around with stuff...i have the neptune RTP in a p06..i have a dsm turbo set up on the f22a1...anyway enough of the history, on to the funny story. so one day im messing with the ecu harness tryna figure out what pin is B6 so that i can wire my wide band directly to be logged by neptune. i had a picture that i now know was wrong but anyway, i messed up the b11 wire. i then got a 09 ecu code. car ran like shit wouldnt rev past like 2 grand. i figured out i made the wire loose messing with it tryna learn how to pop out the pin. so my buddy jimmy sent me the connectors he got from the jy. fixed the loose pin. and the car was still not revving past 2000rpm.. i racked my brain doing tests from the haynes, nothing the code went away but still the problem. so i was getting fed up not wanting to buy unneeded parts till something told me, "check your neptune settings"... i did and forgot that i set up the anti theft system and had the car in valet mode the whole time...i felt like an idiot lol. at least i caught it before i bought any un needed parts

reminds me of the time I though ectune was shitting out corrupt .cal's. I would make some changes and the car would idle but have a very irregular and low rev limit. I finally figured out the one thing all the "corrupt" .cals had in common, two lean protections. Thats when I figured out you can only use one lean protection in Ectune.
