Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

f22a4 a better intake manifold for turbo?

I got the f22a4 so meaning i got the single runner intake.

I was thinking of swaping a f22a6 with dual runners but i am going to turbo so maybe have a single runner is better than double.

Cuz if ur pushing 8-9 psi, when the dual runner opens up will u lose psi?

    thx !

this is a debate.. and soon you'll have an answer.. i believe antoine has been running with his wide open.. so.. well see how it goes when he shuts them.. i.e controlled by vacumn.. then again.. if hes building positive manifold pressure by 2,000rpm ... doesnt that mean the IABs will switch open then?? lol..

    regardless..

closed= good low end power.. choke on top end

open= shitty low end power compared to closed.. nice top end gains..

so.. in working together.. you get the best of both worlds..

it makes for much more of a bitch to tune.. since ur changing a characteristic of the car at a set rpm.. like tuning vtec for example.. but.. nothing you cant handle..

IMO.. you would see improvement.. in throttle response at low rpm.. torque gains.. and top end gains.. also..

you would probably have a much linear dyno graph in using the dual stage..

But does this work for turbo as well?

IMO the dual style is more for N/A
      and single for turbo

but I am a engine newbie, trying to learn.

I am going turbo for sure and may try both and get some dyno on it before and after!!

but this will not be till this coming summer!

      thx
