Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    gdout90accord dyno results

    well guys i went to a dyno meet today and got my car dynoed.
    heres the results
    UNTUNED but i think air fuel ratio is perfect
    set up:
    stock clutch and flywheel haha
    big 16g turbo with 2.5 downpipe ang 2.25 cat back exaust im gettin 2.5 or 3inch next week.

      great numbers, i can't wait till i get mine tuned and dynoed.

      then i'll be able to tell how big of a difference my upgrades will do.

            so like um.. yeah.. lol AWESOME!!! w00t!!!!


            edit: using mrx's theory on tuning to make power.. theres DEFINETLY power left do be had.. thats a pretty nast torque drop.. make that bitch linear/flat and we shall see more POWA

                    agreed. personally, i think the a/f is a little low since he wants to bump up the timing. quite an impressive showing. we'll fix that spot in the map where u lose boost. btw wicked and eric, if he was gettin a constant 10 psi, he wouldve had much different numbers i think.

                      so it was fluxuating?? 8-10psi? or something?? hmm.. wonder what would cause that.. anyway.. yeah.. the a/f is ok for being a basemap.. lol damn near perfect for a basemap.. so mad props to antoine.. get ur ass on the dyno already IAM.. hehehe

                        gyea it was going to 10psi and drops to 8psi. im not sure if its da timing doing dat or other things so ionno. and da guy dat daynoed my car said he can hear a little knock or detnation. its probbly timing?
                        also i asked da dyno guy if its slippin around 5500rpm and he said no but when i had da 14b it was slippin crayz.

                          i totally agree that midnite did a great job on the map considering he's never seen the car! haha. the thing is the old map was boosting a constant 10 psi. dunno. i'll let him talk about it.

                            i just got done talkin bout my dyno sheet with dis one guy dat i got da 16g from, and he said i need to take out some timing and add more fuel. i told him dat da guy at da dyno said my car is detonating, he said just take out some timing out and i shouldnt be detonating.

                              lol. that a/f numbers on the side confuse me since there so jumbled up together.. ur either hitting low 12s or high 12s.. a/f wise.. and if ur dyno guys says ur detonating then ur hitting high 12s.. which makes sense.. that a/f is perfect.. so.. id suggest to add fuel from 3,200 to 6k.. around 5percent or so.. leave the timing as is and see what happens.. antoine needs to chime in.. is it me or is that a/f on the high side?
