The weather was nice today, so i went to the dragstrip.
I had expected the car to spin a lot of tires. I have 24.5" tall slicks with 13psi in them.
I have my 2step rev limiter set to 4000rpm, so i can build up 7psi on the starting line.
1st pass, i bogged it like crazy, but amazingly enough the car did not spin tires. It hooked!!! My 60ft was horrible like a 2.1
I ran a 13.2 at 110mph the 1st pass. I granny shifted it the whole way, shifting at 6500rpm.
Then my starter died... It always has to happen at the track...
So i pushed started it...
2nd pass
I took off my intake/filter for this pass.
I launched at 4k again with 7psi, and it bogged again...But i shifted at 7000rpm each gear, the car was on its way to a 12second run and i fucking grinded 4th gear...and the power steering belt mysterously dissapeared, hahaha, i guess it was too loose...
I ran a 13.7 at 101
Oh, and i am only running 15psi right now, and i had 2 gallons of VP C16 in the tank with a little more timing... The car feels incredible. I just need to set the 2set to 4500 and give that a try... and practice launching there.
Oh, and if you notice on my 2nd pass, i gained 2 MPH on the 1/8 mile from taking off the air filter/intake tube, before i grinded 4th gear. If i didnt grind 4th gear mph would of been 112mph, and it probably would of been 12's. Too many cars to run again... I'll go back another day. I'm going to run it a few more times at 15psi before i raise it to 20psi. I want to get a perfect run with 15psi. then i'll go full boost afterwards...
