Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Well, i have about 900 miles on my new motor. Blew the head gasket the other day...
Noticed bubbling in the coolant resivoir. When i pulled the sparkplugs, cyl #1 had coolant on the plug, and the cyl was steam cleaned... All othe cylinder looked good.
I retorqued the head, and it still leaked...
I pulled the head today. Found a tiny leak in the #1 cylinder on the lower side of the gasket. I used an OEM honda gasket copper coated.
This time i did not copper coat the gasket... And i also overtorqued the head bolts. I think they may have stetched from all the abuse...
Car runs great now. No leaks yet. I have not gotton on it hard yet....
If i blow another one i'm going to pull the motor and o-ring the block and run some head studs...

As for head gaskets, the OEM honda one is very nice and hard to beat in quality...

Throwing this out, but don't the H23 studs by ARP (or anyone for that matter) work? Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I swear I read it somewhere on here. I'll search!

I'm glad your setup is still good though! Alittle nervous reading your post at first

            Dan

EDIT: Here's alittle info on the H23 head studs w/ the f22a/b engine. HondaFan81 is going to run them w/ his motor (F22B head/F22a1 block) so you can ask him to confirm b/c I'm not 100% sure!

Hope that might help if your F22a beast desires ARP head studs!
