Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

What Intercooler Size Do You Have?

    Title says it.

    I just got a JSC (Blitz) 24" x 10" x 2.5" with 2.5" in/out for a soon to be 12PSI+ setup.

I thought it was a little big but I wanted to see what size intercoolers everyone else had and what boost you're at.

Here's a pic of the one I got, minus all the piping and hardware:

    pics are a plus!

for the most part, and intercooler is an intercooler. Just look for crappy welds and don't go too small or too big.

I've got a starion IC that measures 17x2.75x8...said to be good till like 300whp. My intake temps under 10psi were like 90-98 degees...not bad at all.

JRC 28x5x2.75, I also don't agree with someone previous statement that quality of weld makes the intercooler. Most important factors are your intake temperatures and the pressure drop when air passes through it.

I beleive that if the the welds are good is one aspect of a quality product! There is more factors to note, IE: overall appearance, efficiancy, mounting hardware and locations ETC.!

Good point, but you can't test those for yourself until after you've purchased the IC. Other than getting feedback from people who have that particular IC, your best bet is checking for material quality, craftsmanship, and overall design quality.
