Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    I have no idea what Turbo is ???

    Well Ive come across a Turbo FREE and im wondering what the specs are and what i need to buy to make a decent kit for my f22 if i decide to add this into the already brewing mix , Im not lookin for why i should or shouldnt use it but i am lookin to know what its capable of and if its good or bad maybe some horspower numbers it should get me , anyways here goes its got many numbers on it :

    TD04HL = thats the main numbers
    Stamped = 49177-01910
    Above that last stamped = 970211011

    Ive already learned that it was from a Mitsu but im not sure how good it is or anything , but the thing is brand new with no play so im thinkin its worth it to keep it simply because I got it for Nothing from MY brother , Please let me know what I have , thanks

          stealth and 3000gt's had a 16g which is a little bigger i believe....youve probably got an older 13g or possibly a 14b...either way its prob off an earlier eclipse, theyre really common turbos to come across

              google the serial code on the housing, and look around...you should be able to find a couple lists of td04's and such...that should help you find out the culprit....let us know what you find out

                  if it is a 13g, you'll see boost really soon, like around 2500-3000 rpm's...theres a couple people on here that have had them. ive got one, but havent put it on yet cause im waiting for injectors to come in... it should be a fun turbo, its just not great for highway driving cause of the quick spool rate....search around on here and you should be able to find some threads on it

                      Actually if its a 13g, smaller than the 14b, it will see boost by like 2200rpm! My 14b sees it at 2600 and full boost by like 3100! Whee!

                            Looks good! But shaft play... in/out or side/side
                            The problem is the turbo is actually too small for our cars! The smaller the turbo the harder it has to work to make boost especially in our 2.2l when I beleive those were actually for little dodge lancers and such! Sell it and use the money to Find a 16g or t3/t04! IMO

                              Yea cause a friend of mine has that same turbo on his 4th gen prelude(to see if his engine can handle boost) and its spools quick
