Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    F23 vtec

I have a few questions. Prolly been covered b4, but i didnt see it when i searched. Ok i'm considering swapping for a f23 vtec motor and then boost it.

What are the whp, tq #'s for this motor?
How well does it handle boost? and the boost limit?
And what are the weak points of this motor?
Last but not least how is the aftermarket support for this motor?

Well, I believe that the F23 is OBDII, correct me if I'm wrong, so you would have to convert it to OBDI. There are aftermarket parts out there for that engine, but if you want a turbo kit, build it yourself, the one's you can order are in the $3.5k range. I wouldn't personally go with a F23, it's a hastle plus the numbers aren't that much of an improvement over a f22ax motor. 150hp and 152tq with VTEC isn't very appealing to me, but that's my opinion. Try searching for parts online using Google or Ebay and you'll find them. Good luck with the searching.

I'm not gonna buy a brand new turbo kit. I'm going to make 1. Why is it a hassle w/ this motor? And which f22 sohc is a suitable motor to use?

So whats the weakest point in a F22 for boost?

And which turbo is better for this motor w/ a stock internals.
        A T28 or T3 60/63?

why get and obd2 f23 vtec? when you can either
              - get a fresh f22a6 for a fraction of the cost or
              - get an h23 with more power and no hassle with vtec. 160hp and no extra oil lines to run, no extra wires to connect.

I was thinking about that aswell. Was considering throwing some oil squiters in there and build the bottom end while i'm at it. Hmm thats really tempting.
