Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Gauges

    Alright so im finally almost done buying all the parts i need for my motor build + turbo build. I did a little bit of research about gauges and i found out that the most accurate ones are the electrical ones (not mechanical) and also are the most preffered ones. I also found out that full sweep (270 degrees) is a lot better then the traditional sweep i think like 160 degrees?

    So i went lookin for gauges that are full sweep electronic, ofcorse i know about the DEFI, which are insanely priced at around $200usd a gauge, some more. You would need at least 3 gauges, especially for high power builds. Which works out to about $600usd + shipping + the control box ($100), roughly you are lookin at $800usd for DEFI 3 guages.

    So i went lookin for cheaper alternative, autometer, what i found was that the full sweep electronic are still priced at about $160-$200 even for the crappiest "looking" autometer gauges.

    Ebay ones that are priced at $60 each, are just junk, most fail within a month, and are very inaccurate. However i really dont want to spend $1000 on gauges, it just seems rediculous. Am i missing something? can someone point me to cheaper but still acurate/reliable gauges? I would preffer to have 6, if not then at least 3 in the following order;

    1) Water temp (stock is not accurate)
    2) Oil pressure
    3) Boost
    4) Air/Fuel wideband
    5) Oil temp
    6) Fuel pressure

    the only ones you'll need are oil pressure, boost, and air/fuel ratio.

    all others are extras
