Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    mix & match motor

ok im trying to build up a new motor since my f22b jdm just blown up on the hight way

just got my hand on a f22b2

this i what im trying to do

    -F22b JDm head
    -f22b2 bloc
    -H22 crank & Rod
-f20b piston ( i thinks these are the only one that would fit , any idea??)
    -do i need better injector?
-is there any aftermarket cam for f22b jdm head?

im starting a new project i would definatly need some advice before starting spending all my money

    thanks

how did your jdm F22B just blow up...on the highway???
seems like you are just trying to throw a bunch of parts together and hope it works. did you think how all this will be controlled via what ecu?

Depends on your experience as an engine builder? Ever done it before, built or tore down and rebuilt a motor? For all I know you could be a master engine builder, or you could be like me... Never seen the internal workings of your stock motor. Sounds like your going for the ULTIMATE FRANKENSTIEN Motor. is there any way i can use a f23 block (odb2) on a f22b jdm head(odb1) ???

so that i could fit some lude type s piston in there

yup , thanks , i didnt know this was discuss before

i got another question , is there any gain if i use a h22 crank and rod from the h22 and keep the same piston(f22b2)?

this is the part missing , what does that a crank is better than another...

why not pick up an f22a block and drop your f22B head on it and use a higher compression piston instead of trying to frankenstein a bunch of parts together in hopes it would work. If your dead set on the type s pistons and h22 crank and rods then have the f22 block bored and stick them in.

well .... could it be possible just to bore the cylinders to 87mm and stick the h22 piston with the f22b2 rod and crank ?
