I don't want you to take this as argumentative, I'm just trying to figure out what happened so I can avoid it.
You originally said this happened at the 60' mark, which is at worst 2-3 seconds after launching. I would also hope he was much farther down the track than 150 feet, 3-4 seconds after shifting into second and hitting the switch. Was he running the stock intake tubing? I can completely see that collecting fuel in the ridges.
I've gotta trust the manufacturer of my nitrous kit when they say I can safely place it between 6 and 18 inches from the TB.
