Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    timing tweaks with nitrous

So I've had this nitrous kit laying around for about a year now and it's gonna take me some time to get everything done for my turbo block so I'm thinking about using it. Its nothing crazy (50 shot) but I'm wondering if I should do any cam or distributor tweaks just to keep things in check? Its a dry kit so I don't plan on going too crazy... Just wanna have a lil fun at the track. I appreciate any advice given

how many miles are on the engine? what maintenance has been done to it thusfar?

50 shouldnt hurt as long as not used too much....

one step colder plugs and 1 degree of timing retardation would help.

may want to get an adjustable fpr....then put it on a dyno just to get the fuel mix right.....you do not want to lean out on a dry system!!

The engine is gonna have 0 miles as we are currently freshening up the entire rotating assembly. I already planned on colder plugs and tweaking the fuel but I wasn't 100% on the timing side of things. I still classify myself as a noob in the nitrous game so any advice than can be given is very appreciated

ITS COOL.....sounds like it will be fine if used cautiously. i retract one previous statement....you shouldnt need to back out timing until over a 55 shot.
