ABS noise

There is a loud grinding noise coming fro the engine bay when I first start my car in the morning. Somebody told me that it was my ABS unit Ive put wd40 on the fans and pullies and the noise is stiill there. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's the ABS actuator/modulator (forget!) kicking in, pumping the fluid, raising the avail. pressure. That's common, you can also easily jump it to make it come on, just to make sure that's def. the noise.
