    New wheels with dissapointment

Okay so my uncle agrees to give me his rims and tires already mounted and everything because he doesnt need them anymore. I agree of course all I have to do is pay for shipping. After waiting since Christmas I finally get all the tires in today. He had them on his 97 or 98 civic so I thought they would fit. Oh the dissappointent when I take my wheel off to put the new one on only to find out that the holes are 1/4 an inch to small from eachother. I would be correct if I said that there is nothing to fix this problem, right?

yea, civic bolt patterns are 4x100 and ours are 4x114.3. You can buy adapters, but its not really worth it.

Some of the adapters are made out of cheap aluminum, which can crack or wrap easily. There are different types of adapters out there, and Im sure that someone makes a decent adapter, but I havent really looked into them alot. Depending on the size, it may mess up your wheel offset, so in some cases your wheels will stick in or out too far. But you could also do a google search and you might find something that'll help you out. They might even have came out with a whole new product that you'll be able to use, last time I looked for bolt-pattern adapters was about 3 yrs ago for my S-10 Xtreme, so give it a try. Good luck.
