Not to thread jack, but any tips on restoring stock alloys? My stockies are in rough shape due to prior owner being a curb lover. You can see them in my MRT. Others may be interested in this info if they are getting some stock alloys as well.

You could follow this if the curb rash is minor like in the picture. Anything major, you might want to take it to a wheel repair specialist.

205/55 is also a great option and is a little wider.

                Did you paint those?

I picked up some SE wheels for $50. They are a little scuffed and I was going to paint them. So I went pretty heavy with the wire wheel. But after using a scotch brite stripper pad and 400 grit wetsand. My plan for paint has changed. I like the brushed alum. look and so far these actually turned out pretty well. I need to get some coarser wetsand paper and go over it again.
Let me see If I can post some pics.

The top left one is the wheel we will be looking at later

This is the pic after I removed the clear with a wire wheel on the drill. Scuffed with the scotch brite stripping pad and then wetsanded some with 400 grit.

Not too damn bad for $50 and some of my time. I think anyway.

This shows a pic of the wheel and the curbage with the drill and wire wheel I am referring to.

You can see some of the curbage in the pic.
Then next pic is after I removed the clear coat on the wheel. I was going to use stripper but I like the color on the holes on the wheel and didn't want to strip it off so I used the wheel to remove the clear which makes for more sanding later.

I plan to be done this weekend will post the finished pics then.

I am not sure If I want to clear coat these or just polish them from time to time. Any input would be appreciated.

                  thanks

Yes I painted them, Rustoleum Bright Metallic silver. No clear.

I have a set of 15x6 240 steelies that I'm tryin 2 polish with wire wheel.. but its super hard. The coating is powdered coated. May have 2 ask my friend to glass bead them.. its a lot of work 2 polish them. I just may repaint them blk. Idk I kinda gave up on the wheels.

We get these as a optional extra on the 6th gen Accord. They are 4x114.3 15"

They come with black H caps, but someone has put red ones on this particular set.

Those look far too fancy to be stock alloys. They appear to be multi-piece! Many aftermarket wheels will fit a Honda centercap.

Regardless, I REALLY want those wheels!

(Not to contradict you whatsoever) I know for a fact they are oem stock alloys because I know the car that I got them off of, I just wanted to know if anyone knew the name of them because I can never find them on google. I search and search but no find. They were off a 1988 Acura Legend Vls coupe/sedan (if it exist, I forget what style). There's only one other 1st gen Legend in my city that I seen with the same rims, but its as if they are rare or something. I don't know so I'm stumped. If you want them, you can have them deev if you give me yours.lol
