    H22 Motor Identification

    is there a way to tell if the motor is jdm or usdm, if so how?

    jdm will have h22a stamped on the block, usdm will have a number following h22a such as h22a1 or h22a4

                  True, but you could luck out and get the Euro-R or Type-S motor by mistake. Technically, theyre JDM "H22A"s.

                  It would never happen, but it would be some pretty funny stuff if it did.

                        If it's a jdm it will say H22a if its a us motor. It will say h22, and on the jdm motor. Look for a yellow strip on the motor in japanise writing.....

                            A Euro-R h22 IS a jdm h22 since it's only aviable in japan. The type s is also a jdm h22. The accord type R was available in european countries and its block code is h22a7

                              Yes, they both have H22A stamped on them, which was my point earlier. They both have a red valve cover. The Accord SiR-T (F20B) has a blue valve cover.
