It's his money. I feel great when my wallet isn't involved

I'm curious to see if any other Honda axles or combination of will work. What are the stock CB axle measurements compared to the TSX, CRV, RSX-S etc? I'll see if I can get those numbers.

I think there has to be a combination of half shafts and axles that you should be able to configure something with OEM parts and have a shop press it all together for you.

hard saying. Im not really all that savvy in the axle language on Hondas. I'd really like to learn more about that though.

You know, spline counts, diameter, lengths, etc etc.

You can get level 0 driveshaft shop axles for $300.
This being no warranty and better than oem replacement.

They make all axles for everything except accords.

I'm sure if you contact them for kseries Inner and cb outters.

        1. Source your motor (ebay showed me a complete tsx k24a2 with an auto )
        Without shipping estimate $2000

        2. Driveshaft shop axles ( custom order - level 0 k swap axles inner k24a2 tsx/outer 90-93 accord )
        $300

        3. Hasport motor mounts
        $550

        4. Rywire - cb chassis to kseries adapter kit
        $330

        5. Optional rywire tucked harness
        $750

With all those parts, you essentially have a plug n play setup.

That will run you 4-5.5k cash with shipping.

Now you need to figure out how your going to engage your gears.

If your able to source a motor as a complete long block and 6 speed. Within a reasonable range anyways.

        6. Kswap shifter cables ( hybrid racing )
        $350

        7. Kswap shifter box ( hybrid racing )
        Revo shifter box - $110
        Shift shifter box - $350

Now with all those parts your good to go.
Now that totals to about $4500 before shipping and labor. Which would be conservative.

On level 0 axles which is a little be better than oem, street/drag level $750-1000
Stock ecu, yet to be immobilizer bypassed, hybrid racing chip - $200
        Non rebuilt motor- 1500+

With all that your looking at $7000 for a proper bolt in play n plug swap.
This will cut down your labor costs to maximum if you so it yourself or have a shop do it for you.

Add shipping, your looking at an easy $8000 total.

That number, $8000 is still being conservative that is if you can find a suitable motor and transmission for $2000.

If you buy a k series long block plus tranny for $4000 your looking at a grand total of $10000+

All the numbers are there. And that's with me skimping on radiators, oil pans, clutch, flywheel etc.

I would love a Kswap myself but the stock power number of 205 do not justify the price tag just to have a reliable kwap at stock power levels.

Your looking 800+ horsepower as your max power output but with forged internals, turbo and tune your looking at another $8-10k

Now the cb is a bold design for a car and with a few exterior mods it will look timeless, but the fat pig of a car it is I cannot justify $20k for a street warrior.

i think i have decided to just stick with the f-series. i am currently getting 27mpg in the city and cruising afr's are at 14.8-14.9 and i noticed my boys 08' si tends to get around 24mpg with cruising afr's at 14.7-14.8 so...... a i-vtec 2.0L with a 6spd is getting worse gas mileage and is down 20whp and about 70wtq and cruises at roughly 700-1000rpm lower than me with my 5spd ive decided the dark side needs some time to offer me more reasons to swap before i do it. im glad so many people responded to this thread and i hope members will continue to post on it to help other people wanting to do the swap. as for me i'll stick to my 27mpg and 150wtq+ at 1200rpm's, lol.

Can't be beat. I am impressed with what you have put together. Your 0-140 video is a nice pull for a daily driven n/a car.

i plan on going k swap. but in my racecar just for the potential out of building and boosting a k swap is amazing. just pistons and rods, dudes are running 9 seconds boosted.

with that said, I will be starting with the k24a2. and just getting the engine in the car, once its running, drive it for a while, then be boosting it.

its all money and what you wanna do, I say go for it.

                    Dudes running 9's, yes.

Dudes running 9's in this pig of a chassis, no fucking way.

Look at the whp numbers of the guys barely getting into the 11's. 9's are a long way off for this chassis.

if a 4g prelude with full interior and 800whp can run 9.3's than i dont see why a cb7 chassis cant. that car has an h22, its not even k-series.

                          800whp though.

Who's made anything even remotely close to that on this chassis? Totally could be done.

I'm guessing no one has that type of money here or perhaps there is but somewhere waaaaay across the world who hasn't shown it off yet. If they do they better be a shop doing it so that they don't have to pay full price.

Lmao no it won't. If he knows what he's doing he can do a majority of it himself and it'll probably cost him somewhere to like 3.5 without tuning.

it really is all in the headwork, cam choice and the turbo. manifolds can be bought or built to spool fairly well. intake manifolds

if he can do it so can i, it may take a while but it can be done. only thing holding the few 600whp guys back is transmissions believe it or not. have you ever noticed the falling out of boost from the 1sec gear changes and the fact that the ratio's put it out of the camshafts powerband when they do get the next gear. ive told them before T2W4, 4.062 accord FD, have liberty face plate the gears for dog engagement and you'll see those low 11sec cb7's with 600whp turn into low 10sec cb7's. but now that im , back to k-series swaps, the k-series would have better aftermarket support and 1000whp could be acheived easier which could put a cb7 in the high 8sec range with the right suspension and gearing.
