Youll get to the powerband slightly slower with the f22 gearing and when you shift youll fall out of vtec quicker. Everytime you shift youll be in the begining of the crossover.

well seriously this might sound like the worst answer but hey, if ur doing up hill then go with a shorter geared tranny and down hill go with a longer geared tranny, i would rather have a shorter geared tranny all time cause it is funner to drive in the city.. but like a down hill thing, u have longer gears so the downword movement will make u run faster and also, shorter gearing will make u run out of gearing, someone else jump in and help explain what i mean..

Agreed. 5spd is more fun to drive, bigger gear ratios=more power to the wheels. I'd go with a short gearbox if you had the chance. and, of course, if you dont, then you dont...and go with the longer gear box.

            good luck.

yo dude, was that a JDM tranny. If so, did it have the LSD?
You may be able to do some surjury between the 2 trannies, and end up with the same tranny you had on the H22 originally.
It will take some effort, but shouldn't cost too much.

hey if you want to fix the trany you need to replace the 1,3,5 shift fork its a TSB for lude 5 speeds and most accords from what i remember maybe you could get the dealership to do it i have a the TSBs in the tsb it says just 5th but ive seen in a few extreme case on odd gears go just a thoughts hope this help

                      5th gear grind
i have all the lude tsb if anyone wants them i look for ay i think would be important for the cb7 crowd
