just did a head gasket, now not starting, just keeps cranking.....**VIDEO**

I just finished up my head gasket job on my car, connected everything, dizzy battery all the wires made sure the vacuum lines were all good, tension on the T-belt

But now, it just keeps cranking and cranking, occasionally jumping up signalling a start but no. I smell gas out the back so the injectors are working. I filled the Rad. w/ distilled water so i can flush it once i get it running. Video up in a sec. but any ideas why its not starting?

got the ground on the thermostat hooked up?
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

yeah thats what I originally thought was wrong, but the dizzy can only go in one way right? since it has a tapered end? I did 1-3-4-2 for the dizzy starting from the furthest front going clockwise.

is that even possible? think I should take it off and flip the shaft 180 degrees?

it is possible, i did that last time....

if it is wrong, you will fell it "slide and click" in better than the first time it was in there

and yes, 1 should be the first one clockwise after the "coil path" indention on the cap

You can usually see 1 side of the dizzy not sitting flush with the head when its 180 out too.
