im in the middle of doin the real main seal and i look up and it looks like a few cracks! not sure if its from the casting or what but now im worried heres a pic
Is it / has it been leaking any coolant? If it isn't / hasn't then IMO the best you can do is to ignore it. If it is then it's possible to have it welded, but it's alway a somewhat risky proposition with no guarantee of success (been there with an old BMW cylinder head).
Are you absolutely sure it's cracking? I'd be sanding it down to make sure it isn't just on the surface...
no it dosnt leak any coolant what so ever. but im not totally sure their cracks i cleaned it pretty good and their still their. but im just putting it back together and if coolant starts leaking then i know what it is and will have an H series when i can afford it haha but im keeping my fingers crossed.
You're fine, I've had a bunch of those on my old tranny, they never did anything, there's prob. some on the M2B4 aswell. I think there's some on my block too on the backside. I think that's fairly common!
yeah i feel better about it now. its all complete and running no leaks i did it right yaay. im just bummed its still slow haha. my buddy just showed up and he just bought a 92ish civic with a gsr swap Turbo @ 7psi tuned and everything that damn car moves!!!!! insainly fast!! im jelous
