Is it / has it been leaking any coolant? If it isn't / hasn't then IMO the best you can do is to ignore it. If it is then it's possible to have it welded, but it's alway a somewhat risky proposition with no guarantee of success (been there with an old BMW cylinder head).

Are you absolutely sure it's cracking? I'd be sanding it down to make sure it isn't just on the surface...
    Regards from Oz,
    John.

like john said, that could easily be casting flaws on the surface.

I have a new transmission that I've been cleaning, and it has similar "cracks" but they are only on the surface.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

no it dosnt leak any coolant what so ever. but im not totally sure their cracks i cleaned it pretty good and their still their. but im just putting it back together and if coolant starts leaking then i know what it is and will have an H series when i can afford it haha but im keeping my fingers crossed.

You're fine, I've had a bunch of those on my old tranny, they never did anything, there's prob. some on the M2B4 aswell. I think there's some on my block too on the backside. I think that's fairly common!
