    BB4 Shifter Swap Problems....

I installed what I was told a BB4 Prelude shifter a couple months ago and now im having trouble getting into 1st, 3rd and 5th....

I dont think I got a true BB4 Shifter I had to take the new shifter rod and install it onto the accord plate then mod the shifter stops to be able to swith gears....

Isn't the BB4 shifter swap a Bolt-On swap with no mods needed?
    Anybody got comparison pics??????

I'll upload pics of the swap when I get home....

Um I think you need the cables too. Thats why its acting slutty on you. I am about to install the 4th gen Lude shifter in my car but I got the cables with it so I shouldnt have an issue.

the bb4 is a direct swap only things is that the bushing you have to modify. The accord cables will work fine. You can get aftermarket bushing or use the oem ones. It sits lower and its easier to relax your hand on =).
either kill it or drift it...

Ya I have a complete BB4 shifter in my car, plate and all, and used the Accord cables. Shifts like butter. I also bolted it directly to the floor, no bushings, since the holes don't exactly line up.

Damn somebody told me you have to use the prelude cables. So instead of bolting it down with the bushings on it just straight bolt it to the floor?
