How often do your washer squirters clog?

Mine seem to clog about once every month. Enough to where it barely reaches onto my windshield.
If I take them off and run water through them backwards, they're good for another month or so.
I think the cause if the drain hole in the filler stalk, letting debris back into the tank.

Just once on my old CB, it was completely clogged, and that was the only time I've ever had to do it on any of my hondas. I was never a big fan of the sharp 90* bend once the tubing goes across the hood from the hinge. The tubing usually ends up collapsing b/c of the sudden sharp bend.

I have heard you can replace them with ones from a 6th gen accord. They have a much better spray pattern.

I did. They clogged much faster. I went back to 4th gens.

I HAVE a 6G. I've had it for over 2 years, not a lick of problems. I'd suggest back tracking the issue. I got so tired of the ones on my CB that I bought new ones. They clogged after a few months.

The clog is probably crud and junk built up in the lines, motor, and bottom your reservoir.

EDIT: A few months before my CB died, I bought 6G nozzles and never had issues with them on my CB.

im getting 6g sprayers like Mike here recommended for me. i have tried just about every after market ones and OEM ones and none have worked more than a month. my car has a curse for bad sprayers. i even asked my dad if he ever got any to work and he just shook his head

Never. Mine spray in the middle of the windshield like they should. Always have. On both my CBs. Ive bought CBs with clogged up nozzles but as soon as I cleaned them with CLR they were good ever since.

I had 6G nozzles, they would clog only if I let the tank run down, I guess the last bit left always was dirty. Try cleaning out your reservoir.

I dont want to sound like a dick, but the thought of removing the reservoir and cleaning it manually didnt go through your head?

the part is 20 years old, a little bit of clorine/degreaser and a tooth brush would have saved you so much trouble

btw i used 95 legend ones, they look so much sleeker

Just stick a pin inside to loosen the blockage and activate to flush out.

I did this everytime it got blocked - several times over several months - now its normal again.

You will then find with some patience with each successive unblocking the intervals get longer till your back to normal and reliable operation.

Changing sprayers will not solve the problem of debris and dirty reservoir, it will clog again.

Removing and cleaning the reservoir is too involved for me unless its really dirty. From experience if it just clogged recently its not that dirty - no algae our moss has built up yet due to inactivity.

A simple un clogging when needed is all thats needed with some patience as it is a repetition process till the dirt is expelled.

Note: care is needed when sticking a pin in. use appropriate size to not ruin the jets, not pushing too deep also. With practise you can almost feel the blockage and when you have dislodged it.

In the 7 years I drove my Accord I never once had the squirters clog. From 30°C to -30°C never any issues. What are you people using for washer fluid, calcium, iron and crud filled puddle water?
