    90 LX not starting-diagnostic help?

Intended on posting this in beginner forum but wasn't allowed... Here's the low-down...
    1990 Accord LX 5 speed, F22A1
Car drove just fine on Sunday, went to start it on Monday morning to go to work, and it will crank all day but not start. I have power to everything. I have good fuel pressure and have eliminated the fuel pump as an issue (I believe). Ignition coil maybe? I know its getting fuel but doesn't seem to be getting spark. Any input is appreciated...husband and father of 2- I can't afford to gamble much when it comes to buying parts! Searched the forums well but I have run out of time :/

Why would you post it in the beginner forum? You are not a beginner! That's why I disabled such things... because far too many people were making new threads in there, and not in these sections where they belong.

Anyway, if you're not getting spark, the ignition coil and igniter module are the most likely culprits.
Also, make sure your battery and ground connects are all clean and tight. Corrosion on the battery terminals can cables can cause similar symptoms.

Thanks Deev. Was only attempting the beginner post due it it being a novice question, I'm no stud mechanic... therefore my mechanical knowledge is "beginner" haha. Definitely not a beginner cb owner though. I'll look into those 2 culprits and check my grounds. I've got an Optima, clean contacts and no corrosion.

Make sure the cables themselves are clean as well. That was my problem. I went out and bought a brand new Optima red top, and a new starter... and nothing. Cleaned the cable connections in desperation (I was drinking my last can of Coke, and remembered that old chain email about Coke delivery drivers maintaining their trucks with the stuff... ) and boom... started right up!

Bahaha! I will DEFINITELY spend the 1.79 at the gas station on a Coke then. That stuff does a lot of things it shouldn't haha. Bloodstains, rust, etc.... and we put it in our body

Coke is not actually recommended... but it worked! Water would do the same. Water with some baking soda in it would do it even better.

Be careful not letting baking soda water getting near or into the cells if the battery is flooded battery.

              It will neutralize battery acid.
