the first three time's was like pancake syrup . by the third time it was like a light surger free syrup . after that it was all cleared up because i actually took the line and ran it to a bucket till it cleared up . the last two and seconded set of plugs where as a preventive measurements . this stuff that came out was dark like a black crayon . its all cleared up now and if it does it again then i will order all fuel system replacements .

You changed the filter a total of five times? Was it clogging with stuff or were you just being overly cautious? If you're getting all sorts of debris from the tank, it may be time to find one in better shape. The tank isn't that hard to replace as long as the strap bolts come out.

i did the fuel cleaner . in order for the car to stay running during the first fuel treatment i went through 3 fuel filters and 1 set of plugs for one tank . second time only one fuel filter no plugs . 3rd time did not require fuel filter or plugs but i changed them any way's . this was about 4 months ago ..
EDIT: the treatment Lucas Oil injector cleaner and fuel conditioner . i bought the one gallon .Last edited by Accord problems; 12-10-2013, 12:48 AM.

There is a check valve in the fuel pump that is supposed to maintain some pressure after shutting the engine down. I don't know how long it is supposed to hold, but the 2 second "pump on" period when first turning the key to "on" is supposed to bring it up before going to "start". Sometimes mine will start quicker if I cycle the key to "on" for 2 seconds, then "off", then "on", then "start".
Had you tried running a good fuel system cleaner through them? I've never had an injector problem (knock on wood) on any of my Accords; still running the originals in my 90.

In the 1993 OEM Service Manual:
Pressure with the engine idling and vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator removed and pinched: 40 - 47 psi
Pressure with the engine idling and vacuum hose connected to the fuel pressure regulator: 30 - 38 psi.
According to an old Haynes manual, the above values apply for 1991 - 1993
For 1990: With vacuum hose disconnected: 35 - 41
With vacuum hose connected: 35 - 37
