Sport mode auto tranny problems!

Anybody have troubles with 90-91 sport shift auto tranny? My buddies has to be manually shifted and its not shifting down into first. And the "S" light keeps blinking! Any help is appreciated!

yea i gotta 90 accord and i had that same problem ya transmission iz messin up thats wht the s light means when it flashes but yea u might need to flush it out get that checked out b4 it gets worse that happend to me i waited to long and now i might need to get another tranny

could be several things, such as the TCU (which i have for sale) or even the speed sensor.

I had that happen to me a while back and it would blink and i was stuck in 2nd gear. I had to get a new TCU. Goodluck with the problem.

Can't you pull the tranny code like you would an engine code? I thought that light blinked like the engine light...

yes u can, exact same procedure as the CEL

Yes sir, pull the code right away, and it's possible your TCU is bad, but if I recall they aren't too expensive (prob around the price of a used PT3) = < $

i had a problem with the S light but my speedometer kept kicking out. turned out to be VSS.

well when he drives it before it shifts he hears clicking and then it shifts into next gear!

earlier today my S light blinked while i was on the road. i stopped at a friends place, shut off the car, and started it back up, and it stopped blinking. it hasn't been blinking since. is this something i need to worry about?

just get the code out and take it from there.

well when the s light flashed for me it turned out to be the VSS. if u don't have any trouble with your speedo than i guess u got some tranny problems

started the car up again today for the first time and the S light blinked + my speedo was not working. when i came to a stop light, the S light was still blinking, but the speedo worked again. could it just be starting to go bad?

Sounds like VSS symptoms to me.
