Fuel pump cover bolts stripped, what should i do?

So when replacing the fuel pump cover gasket, two of the 6 bolts stripped, which increased the smell while driving by alot(it was bad before, now its worse especcially with the windows open). I havent really looked at it since it is keeping the cover on but you can still smell the gas when the windows are down, also while driving. Any ideas on either replacing the bolts or will i have to completely replace the tank?
The bolts in the picture for reference.

Could you use a tap and die to repair the stripped threads?

You know whats funny is that the guy i bought it from litterally saved the car for me to replace the tank, the dude spent 900 bucks on a new tank and now the bolts stripped ‍

Actually ya thats a good idea. Even a smaller bolt will do as long as it holds the seal. You could also make a.... brace / cover that spans multiple bolts.
