Thermo meter after driving for a while starts to rise to signify that its overheating. When this happens it seems like the radiator spits back up coolant. The other day I used one of the tips I got off of one of the forums and that was when the thermo started to rise I turned on the fan full blast and it went back to normal. Please help, I dont want to have this problem anymore. Could it be that I need to change the thermostat?

I have a 92 wagon. For a long time the temp was so hot. So I replaced the the thermostat. Still got hot. So I replaced the water pump (and timing belt). Still got hot, VERY hot. Thought it might be the radiator but it had no leaks. So I replaced that. Guess what? I have a normal running temperature engine. Oh ..and an extra thermostat in my tool box.

forgot to mention ...when i went to mechanics he said that everything seemed well ...then he mentioned that if the problem turns up again that we had two other factors which is either the water pump or the radiator itself. Oh and he also mentioned that it could be an electrical problem meaning fans dont turn on when they should.

I'll bet that after almost 15 years of circulating water and coolant, and who knows what, the radiator is worn out. Try that first cause once he gets that water pump off , it's a mechanics religion to tell you "while I'm doing this, might as well replace..." and then your bill becomes BIG! So see if that radiator swap is the answer before shelling out the bucks for other stuff.
