what tranny could i possibly have..

my tranny i bought for an automatic h22 supposedly was an h22 tranny... but i painted it and forgot to tape off the code..
even though the gears feel alot shorter heres how it shifts..

    1st, 42 mph

    2nd 80 mph

    3rd 116 mph

4th maxed out at 137 mph

    on a flat road....

this doesn't make much since to me..

when i shift from 1st to 2nd it doesn't fall out of vtec..
    and it is an automatic..

these numbers do not add up to other threads i have read, but i know my speedo is right.. works fine. and i had a friend officer of my parents clock my speed on our abandoned airport... so that is not an issue.. don't get me wrong i love the 8,000 rpm's and the high speeds i get from it.. but i am just slightly confused as to the gearing.

Could you try to gently remove the paint off the sticker by scraping or by solvent?

Sounds fine to me...H22 is closer gearing your top end is gonna suck either way.

PM me with your RPMs at each of these speeds and I should be able to tell you, assuming I have enough automatic tranny gearing information handy to compare it to.

yeah but when i watch peoples videos they shift out of 2nd at around 70..... i'm shifting at 80 and the motor wants to keep going but my rev limiter hits at 8 grand so she doesn't.

What RPM are you shifting at? and if you have the gear ratios I can calculate that.

Also tire size would help me look it up. It would give me a real speed correction. Since you have an aftermarket tire and bigger than stock you could have been going faster than you thought

well i don't think i am going faster than i thought.
i just went out with my video phone just so i could replay it over and over to make sure...
i only had enough room for 1st and 2nd.
but 1st shows that i am bouncing the rev limiter between 7800 8,000 rpm's 3 times when it shifts to 2nd at 43 mph.

then 2nd shows that i bounce the rev limiter 6 times, shifting at 87 mph. grant you she still pulling when hitting limiter. and it hit so many times because it's automatic so when i shift it,, it don't go like it should at once, and it revs verry fast so bouncing 6 times happens in like 1.5 sec
