EXT : 3rd Brake Light Running Light

shout out to all my diy'ers. i did this today i was jokin around with billkisme and i actually did it.

Things needed for this diy. a Brain.

i used a 3 piece wire/socket from my tail lights. i had a extra set. i popped out the 2wire socket, and swapped in the 3 wire socket. fits like a glove

i spliced blk to blk and green(+) to Orange on the 3 piece wire socket (+)

then i ran the red wire (+) wat makes it stay on... to the tail lights, it was ez cuz i had my wires spliced already from the cd5 markers.

if u dont have cd5 markers or wires spliced already. its the 3 piece wire/socket on the tail lights.

tuck wire. step back, and chill

    thanks, now its yallz turn!

below with parkin lights on, and next pic is when i hit the brake.

i would think this would be illegal as the 3rd brake light is to help distinguish between braking and just running lights. it would confuse me and likely piss me off if i was behind you

So far I had no probs, the lights at night with the parkin brake is dim and not annoyin to look @. Once I hit the brake on its supa bright.

I seen 1 cb yesterdat passin me while I was at the light he was likin it. To each their own but I made this diy so ppl can try it if they wanted 2 that is all.

                  I like it.
                  and about the illegal part...
It's illegal to exceed the speed limit too, but even Hyundai makes it possible.

The Idea is a good one for US but the law giving tickets is like removing a part of our cars

it is a good. one but were does Hyundai come in this

Maybe we cam put 2 3rd brake lamps one on each corner and leaving the middle alone....but then cops would really stop you cause they will say your trying to be like them lol

At least you won't have to worry about tailgaters.

Also, pretty sure your housing will melt this way. The plastic is soft and is NOT meant to stay illuminated for extended periods of time.
                          My pictures/photos will return soon...

I guess you could substitute an LED in place, then there'd be no heat issues.
