Nice DIY. You really simplified the process. I thought it was way more difficult than that.

they dont fix man. i got the ex tranny and the 5th gen manual tranny mount dont fix.. maybe cuz i gotta loosen the other motor mount and push the engine forward just alittle bit to make it fix? the only mount loosen is the driver, front that's it.

this has been on my mind for awhile about this tapping thing
                i have a 5spd
why do we have to tap the tranny?

do we do this to use our mount and bracket?
or why can't we just use the prelude mount and bracket
                will it fit?

                thanks

you tap the LUDE tranny so the ACCORD mount will fit.

*EDIT* - I just swapped in an MP1A automatic out of a '94 Prelude VTEC today and the mounting bolts are exactly the same as the F22's auto. I even kept the F22 starter and torque converter - even though the MP1A came with a tc... the service manual says it has to be kept aligned with the drive plate on removal and reinstallation so I left mine on. Acceleration feels better, but I don't know how "gear ratios" would work in automatics. The shift points aren't going to be optimal for this tranny without the correct TCU, but installing that's probably not a good idea unless you have an H22/23 since they rev a bit higher.
