    EXT: Spoon Mirror Retrofit

Guide to make Integra 94-01 Spoon Replica Mirrors fit the CB7.

    Tools
    Dremel
    Drill

    Step 1
    Remove your mirror

    Step 2
Unbolt the mirror from the baseplate of the spoon mirror, it has 3 hex bolts

    Step 3
Compare the baseplate to the oem mirror and see where you would need to trim along the bottom. Should be no more than 1/2"

*you trim the LIP, not the front of the baseplate in the diagonal. THe piece of the baseplate that pokes into the car.

    Step 4:
    Trim in these areas

The side with the vertical edge
    **Done cutting baseplate wee!

    Step5:
Rebolt the mirror to the baseplate of the spoon

    Step 6
Dremel ALL the mounting studs the spoon mirror came with, the plastic pieces. You need to reuse these so dont destroy them!

    Step 7:
Walk out to your car and see where you need to trim some more by holding it up to the car.

    Step 8:
Use some kind of thin pen or nail to mark where the oem mirror mounting holes line up on the baseplate. Do this by stabbing or scratching the nail in the holes from inside the car so it scratches the baseplate well. This is so you can see where to drill

    Step 8:
Drill new holes through through the baseplate and mirror. Drill only the bottom two bolts, do not drill through the top mounting point, it will be seen outside the mirror!

As you can see thew new holes filled with new bolts
I also put a little styrofoam to act as filler and a stabilizing piece because the mirror baseplate will bow with out it.

    Step 9:
There is no way to put the new bolts in without removing the actual mirror piece in the mirror. So I just cut a slit form the center of the back of the mirror through to the new holes

*Glue/epoxy the old mounting stud to the TOP bolt.

    Step 10
The other bolt requires you push the mirror itself in so you can slide the new bolt through. I had to drill the hole a bit bigger on the mirror to do this

    Step 11:
Slide the two new bolts throughthe baseplate

    Step 12:
Bolt the mirror to the baseplate, with the hex nuts

    Step 13:
Put the mirrors to the car, use your finger in the biggest hole of the mirror mounting area to guide the new bolts in.

    Ta DUH!

nice, Wilson. Think it's possible to retain power mirror functionality?

yes, there is a power mirror option you can buy as well. There's probably a write up somewhere online how to wire spoon power mirrors.
