    EXT: "Type R" emblem

This is a way to make the rear and (90-91only) steering wheel emblems have a more sporty "Type R" look.

    What you'll need :
    White Paint
    Red paint
    set of screw drivers
    Paint brush(for steering wheel only)

    REAR
1)For the rear start by taking a flat head screwdriver and *carefully* pry off the emblem.
    2) If you need/want bleach it over night to take the chrome off.
    3) Paint the "H" white
    4) Take tape and mask around where the "H" was put paper around to protect from overspray
5)Let dry, then snap the "H" back in place, it should look something like this:

    Steering wheel

Notice This is only for 90-91 non SRS steering wheels.

1)First take a flathead and pry the "H" out
2)Spray the red paint in the cap (or some type of bowl) till has some liquid paint in it
    3) Carefully paint the black parts with the brush
4)Let dry then carefully put back in place, should look like this:

Some cheap white paint and some red engine enamel I had left, you might want to spray some clear over it if your car is out in the weather alot.

nice job, the back looks ok.

I want to paint the H on the wheel, but I have a 93 so nothing to pop out, but I want to paint the indentation silver to make it stand out.

I think it would be better to put something red between the lid and the badge rather than spraypainting a perfectly good body panel.

brake cleaner will take the paint right off, but isn't very good for your clear coat
