    INT: E-Brake Relocation-Console Swap

If you mess something up, you or the car, while doing this, its your fault, not mine. Enjoy!!

    Reason for doing this mod:
Swapping in a different year center console 92-93 into 90-91 etc
90-91 ebrake is centered, 92-93 is offset towards passenger side

    Tools needed:
    Philips screw driver
    10mm wrench, sockets and ratchet
    Electric drill
    5/16" bit
    Large flat washer

    1. Remove the center console using the screw driver
    2. Un-bolt the e-brake from the floor. It's held in with two 10mm bolts.
    3. Get the drill out and drill the new holes. I recomend you put the center console in, line the e-brake handle up, hold it there and remove center console, mark where the holes need to go.
    4. The hole on the drivers side is real close to the edge of the bracket. Here is where the washer will be used
    5. Bolt it back into place using the new holes. Using the 5/16" bit will give you a little leeway to move it, use that to line it up perfectly.

Question is, will the center console hit the auto belt on the passenger seat?

Nope, won't fit with the auto belts unless modified. L8r

There will most likely be interference on both sides due to the console being large. Question, are all those pictures of the aftermath?

Yea, all the pics are of the finished product. I did it 6 years ago and didn't take any pics at the time of the whole process. You can see the old hole in the front passenger side hole. And in the back the washer kind of covers it up. L8r

Here we go, I took some pics of some pics, so the quality isn't 100%. This is 6 years ago, my car still had the auto tranny!!, ah the memories, haha.

Notice the center console fits with the auto belts, it just takes a bit of creativity.

Sorry again for the quality, but I hadn't gotten into a digital camera back in 1999/2000 yet. It proves that its possible though. L8r
